Where are you going with your life?

As a career coach, I work with people ready to make a change in their lives, sometimes a big change. Maybe they are bored with the job they have. Or perhaps they just ‘ended up’ where they are at and they know they want something different in life. And, of course, there are those who have been laid off or otherwise find themselves unemployed. I can relate to all of these scenarios. I’ve been there. It’s what inspired me to go into this line of work.

Anyone who’s read my blog over the past two years, knows the journey I’ve been on. For those who have not, here’s a brief synopsis.  I was living in Washington, DC, single and apparently staying so, and discontent with my job. I’d loved my job for many years, but it had reached the point of maturation and there was no growth left for me. I missed Seattle, a city I had lived in for 14 years. I longed for it every day. So I was stuck living a life, working a job that no longer satisfied me in any way.  I HAD to do something. After much soul searching, lots of coaching, and even more faith, I left it all. Quit my job, sold my house, and moved myself back to Seattle. As soon as I made the decision, the mental leap of faith, EVERYTHING fell into place. Here I am now, two years later, living the life I had imagined for myself! Literally everything! I am not superwoman. I don’t have any extraordinary gifts. I simply knew what I needed and made it happen. You can too.

This is what I wish for everyone. That you are living the life you want, doing the work you love and fulfilling your purpose in life. If you feel stuck like I did, do lots of soul searching and figure out what it is that you really want for your life. If you need help, a neutral sounding board, find a career coach who can help you.  We guide you in discovering what your life passion really is, what your skills and preferences are for work, what you need to do to get to where you want to be. Start today, right now. You’ll be grateful and a much happier version of you.

Wishing you the happiness you deserve!
